2007: James came on as a 63rd minute substitute in the 4-0 loss to Costa Rica in San Jose and has played the full 90 against Venezuela (0-5) and Wales (2-2).

2006: Chris James proved the find of 2006 for New Zealand Football.  The Kiwi-born, England age-group international enjoyed a dream debut for the All Whites when he came on as a substitute against Brazil just days after receiving his international clearance last June. A skilful midfield playmaker, James went on to score from the penalty spot against Uefa Cup holders FC Sevilla before guiding New Zealand to the forthcoming FIFA U-20 Men’s World Cup in Canada.
