Football Ferns v Australia Feb 17 & 20

The Football Ferns kick off 2010 with a mouth-watering two-match home series against trans-Tasman rivals Australia.

The Ferns are looking to continue their form from the Olympic Games and last year’s historic first win on European soil.

This series is preparation for March’s Cyprus Cup, a tournament where surprise package New Zealand made it all the way to the semi-finals. This year in Cyprus, New Zealand will face the might of Europe (England, Holland, Italy, Scotland, Switzerland), as well as South Africa and North American powerhouses Canada.

Bring the whole family for 2010’s first serving of international football and give the Football Ferns a great send off.

Female-only coaching and refereeing courses will run in regional centres while Junior Football Ferns (NZ U-20) will visit fun football festivals around the country, encouraging more girls to register with local clubs.
