Notes:

2009: Was an early substitute against Spain in the All Whites’ Confederations Cup opener, helping to shore up New Zealand’s midfield defensive effort. Earned a start against South Africa but was again on the bench for NZ’s final game against Iraq. Wellington Phoenix elected not to renew the utility’s contract for the 2009-10 season.

2008: Used off the bench against New Caledonia but restored to the stating XI in a domestic based line-up for a dead rubber in Fiji.

2007: Christie has signed for the new Wellington Phoenix after coming on as a late substitute against Costa Rica in March and playing the first hour of New Zealand's 2-2 draw in Wales in May. Started qualifiers against Fiji (away) and Vanuatu (home) but was an unused substitute inbetween against Vanuatu in Wellington.

2006: A no-nonsense central midfielder, Christie played alongside All Whites team-mate Leo Bertos at Perth Glory last season. The former Barnsley FC ball-winner also played for the now defunct New Zealand Knights in the A-League and for the Auckland-based Football Kingz in the old NSL before that.
