New Zealand Football Referee AdministrationNew Zealand Soccer (NZF) Referees are administered from NZF by Referee Development Officer (RDO) Ken Wallace, who works closely with the NZF Referees Committee (NZSRC), NZF Appointments Panel (AP) and Federation RDOs ken.wallace@nzfootball.co.nz. The NZFRC are largely responsible for referee recruitment, retention, coaching, development, welfare and disseminating FIFA’s instructions on the interpretation and application of the Laws of the Game. Their role is one of governance and setting policy. Current members are: Rod Pelosi – Chairman (Fed. 4 - Central Football) Stephen Fletcher (Fed. 1 United Soccer 1) Stephen Budai (Fed. 2 – Auckland Football) Trevor McCracken (Fed. 3 – Waikato – Bay of Plenty Football) Chris Harrison (Fed. 5 – Capital Football) Wayne Stapley (Fed. 6 – Mainland Football) Linda Ritchie (Fed. 7 – SoccerSouth) The AP is responsible for the promotion and appointment of referees, assistant referees and inspectors to the five national competitions and to the List of International Match Officials (FIFA). The AP is appointed by the CEO of NZF and the Chairman of the NZFRC and serves for two years.
