2009: Returned to Major League Soccer by signing with San Jose Earthquakes. One of New Zealand's best perfomers in their third Confederations Cup campaign.

2008: Released by Fulham at the end of the 2007/08 season. Selected as one of three overage players in the New Zealand U-23 squad for the Beijing Olympics. Made a return for the All Whites after a four year absence in World Cup qualifiers against New Caledonia.

2007: Missed the entire 06/07 Premier League season with a calf injury.

2006: Joined Fulham on a free transfer in the January transfer window.

2004: Traded to Columbus Crew for a first round 2005 draft pick.

2000: Named the LA Galaxy's MVP. LA Galaxy win the CONCACAF Champions Cup beating Club Deportivo Olimpia (Honduras) 3-2 in the final.

1999: Joined LA Galaxy in May 1999.
